Moving away from ideas that the future will
save us with farfetched technologies this design for a mixed use development
applies simple and available solutions where appropriate to create a workable
and liveable community.
Within this project we adopt an architectural
character that is sensitive to the local aesthetic. Green space is preserved
and throughout the development a pedestrian and cyclist friendly transportation
network is provided. All new structures
utilize passive heating and cooling, district energy, and extensive green
roofs. Native plants are used to enhance biodiversity and vegetated
infiltration swales along roads deal with all storm water on site, recycling it
wherever possible.
